Media Converter 10/100Mbps RJ45 10/100m simplex Mode media converter. The converter mediates between a 10Base-T
or 100Base-Tx segment and a 100
Base-FX segment. It is primarily designed for larger, higher speed/bandwidth demanding workgroups that require
expansion of the Ethernet network. It can extend the convertional 10M Ethernet or 100M fast ethenet to
20Km-120Km via the fast Ethernet Fiber-optical line. It is high
This BIDI (Bi-directional) 2 Wavelength WDM (Wave Division Multiplexing) Fiber Optic Media Converter is designed to fit into the fast-growing and ever advancing optical fiber network deployment environment. This stand-alone converter adapts the emerging WDM technology and can expand copper-based networks up to 25km through a single optical fiber and provide bi-directional data. Users can now double their optical fiber bandwidth and upgrade their existing 100Base-TX or even 10Base-T network easily and more cost effectively. Product is sold in pairs.
The hot-swappable design of these converters makes them easy to install and fix for inexperienced users, so that they can communicate with other devices. With high data transmission performance over fiber optic cable, media converters extend communication distance. T
A media converter is merely a device that can be plugged in and operated, but when connected to the network it must take account of certain factors. In accordance with the media converter port, the end face of the fiber patch cable should be the same. Ensure that wavelengths and speed rates are identical at both ends of the media converter. Be precise as to whether the converter supports full-duplex or half-duplex transmission and make sure to maintain the operating temperature range. Installation of a media converter should be done in a flat, secure location. Make sure that there's enough room for ventilation around the converter.
Since the use of two fiber media converters in a network is more common, one medium converter must be used for interconnections between copper cable and fiber devices. To connect two copper cable systems, it is often necessary to use a series of fiber media converters to extend the distance.
